Finding a place to stay in Can Tho is not only about choosing a star rating. For a short trip, location often matters more than the hotel category: where you sleep affects how easily you can reach an early-morning boat, walk to dinner, explore Ninh Kieu after dark, or spend part of your stay in a quieter riverside setting.
This guide compares 15 Can Tho hotels and resorts across different areas, budgets and stay styles. The properties are not ranked. Instead, the goal is to help you decide which location and type of accommodation fit your itinerary, budget and priorities.
How we selected these stays: Mekong Smile selected a mix of central hotels, riverside properties, resort-style stays and an ecolodge that solve different travel needs. Location, facilities and operating information were reviewed against hotel websites and current booking information in August 2026. Price ranges are indicative planning references rather than live quotes. Mekong Smile operates a tour desk at Sheraton Can Tho.

Which Area of Can Tho Should You Stay In?

If this is your first visit, start with the area, not the hotel name.
Area Useful for Morning floating-market logistics Main trade-off
Around Ninh Kieu Wharf First visits, 1-2 night stays, restaurants, night market Many meeting points are walkable Busier urban setting
Wider Ninh Kieu More hotel choice while staying central Short transfer may still be needed “Ninh Kieu” does not always mean beside the wharf
Cai Khe / riverside River views, pools, quieter evenings Taxi/Grab, hotel pickup or hotel-arranged boat Less convenient for walking to central dining
Cai Rang / Con Au Resort stays, space, river setting Depends heavily on the property and tour Less practical for spontaneous city evenings
Countryside / outer Can Tho Ecolodge, orchards, cycling, slower travel Arrange transport in advance Farther from central Can Tho

Quick recommendation

  • Only 1 night in Can Tho: stay around Ninh Kieu or somewhere with easy access to your morning meeting point.
  • 2-3 nights: Ninh Kieu is a practical base; a riverside or countryside stay makes more sense if relaxation is part of the trip.
  • Cai Rang Floating Market is your priority: check where your tour actually departs before choosing a hotel. Staying physically closer to the market is not automatically more convenient.
  • Restaurants and evening walks matter: central Ninh Kieu is easier than an outer riverside resort.
  • Quiet surroundings matter more than walkability: look at Cai Khe, Cai Rang, Con Au or countryside accommodation.

Hotels to Consider in Can Tho

Around Ninh Kieu and the City Center

This is the most practical zone for many first-time visitors because the riverfront, restaurants, night-market area and several tour meeting points are concentrated around central Ninh Kieu.
A useful distinction: a hotel can be in Ninh Kieu Ward without being directly beside Ninh Kieu Wharf. Check the exact hotel location rather than assuming every Ninh Kieu address is a five-minute walk from the boat.

Charmant Suites a Boutique Hotel Can Tho

Charmant Suites Can Tho with guest room, meeting hall, infinity pool and hotel entrance
A collage of Charmant Suites Can Tho showing a guest room, meeting and event space, infinity pool and the hotel entrance.
Charmant Suites is at 45 Ngo Quyen, Ninh Kieu Ward. It has 166 rooms and suites, including 28 m² Deluxe rooms, plus an infinity pool, restaurant, lounge and bar. The central location makes it a practical choice when you want to spend a short Can Tho stay around the riverfront rather than arranging transport for every meal or evening activity.
  • Typical price: ~$50-70/night
  • Key facilities: Infinity pool, restaurant, lounge/bar
  • Room fit: Couples and short city stays; compare higher categories if you want more space
  • Useful if you want: A polished central stay near Ninh Kieu
  • Keep in mind: The setting is urban rather than secluded
  • Floating-market logistics: Usually practical if your tour meets around Ninh Kieu Wharf

Wink Can Tho Centre, Unscripted by Hyatt

Wink Can Tho Centre rooms and rooftop pool near Ninh Kieu
Wink Can Tho Centre rooms and rooftop pool near Ninh Kieu
Wink Can Tho Centre is at 14 Phan Dinh Phung, beside the Ninh Kieu Night Market area. Its most distinctive feature is the 24-hour stay model: guests can check out 24 hours after their arrival rather than following a conventional fixed checkout time.
The hotel has 238 rooms and suites, a rooftop infinity pool and bar, 24/7 gym and laundromat. Standard Queen and Twin rooms are 20 m², so they work well for solo travelers and couples but may feel compact for longer stays. Larger Deluxe rooms and suites are more practical for families.
  • Typical price: ~$45-70/night
  • Key facilities: Rooftop infinity pool, 24/7 gym, laundromat, bar
  • Room fit: 20 m² standard rooms for 1-2 guests; larger suites available
  • Useful if you want: Central location and flexible check-in/check-out
  • Keep in mind: Standard rooms prioritize efficient use of space
  • Floating-market logistics: Easy to plan for tours meeting around central Ninh Kieu

TTC Hotel Premium Can Tho

TTC Hotel Premium Can Tho near the Ninh Kieu riverfront
TTC Hotel Premium Can Tho near the Ninh Kieu riverfront
TTC Hotel Premium is a conventional full-service hotel in the central riverfront area. Its strongest reason to consider it is location: it works well for a short itinerary built around Ninh Kieu, restaurants, evening walks and an early morning boat.
The property has a swimming pool and breakfast is commonly available with room packages, although inclusions should be checked for your rate.
  • Typical price: ~$40-60/night
  • Key facilities: Pool, restaurant, spa services
  • Useful if you want: Central walkability without choosing a boutique or resort property
  • Keep in mind: Choose it for city convenience rather than extensive resort grounds
  • Floating-market logistics: Practical for departures around Ninh Kieu

Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel

Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel in central Can Tho
Ninh Kieu 2 Hotel in central Can Tho
Ninh Kieu 2 is at 3 Hoa Binh Boulevard and remains a straightforward central option for travelers who put location and room cost ahead of having a new-build or resort-style property.
The hotel lists around 100 rooms across several categories. Standard rooms are around 25 m², while larger room types are available. Its official room information includes buffet breakfast on many room rates, with breakfast service beginning at 6:00 AM.
Typical price: ~$35-60/night
  • Key facilities: Restaurant, breakfast, gym
  • Room fit: Standard rooms around 25 m²; larger categories available
  • Useful if you want: A conventional central hotel at a moderate budget
  • Keep in mind: Compare recent room photos if newer interiors matter to you
  • Floating-market logistics: Central location keeps pre-dawn transfers relatively simple

The Iris Signature Hotel & Spa (formerly Iris Hotel Can Tho)

The Iris Signature Hotel and Spa in central Can Tho
The Iris Signature Hotel and Spa in central Can Tho
This property is still commonly recognized by its former name, Iris Hotel Can Tho, on older travel content. It sits outside the immediate Ninh Kieu Wharf cluster, so it is better understood as a central-value option than a walk-out-to-the-pier hotel.
Current booking platforms list breakfast options and a swimming pool, but recent historical reviews have been inconsistent about pool operation. If the pool matters to your decision, confirm its current status directly before booking.
  • Typical price: ~$25-40/night
  • Key facilities: Restaurant, breakfast options; pool status should be reconfirmed
  • Useful if you want: A value-oriented central stay
  • Keep in mind: Do not choose it solely on the assumption that Ninh Kieu Wharf is immediately outside
  • Floating-market logistics: Short transfer is more realistic than relying on a pre-dawn walk

Sheraton Can Tho

Sheraton Can Tho hotel with Hau River views
Sheraton Can Tho hotel with Hau River views
Sheraton Can Tho is at 209 30/4 Street, Ninh Kieu Ward. It is a full-service hotel with an outdoor pool, spa, fitness facilities, several dining venues and large rooms and suites with city or Hau River views.
Mekong Smile operates a tour desk in the hotel lobby, open daily from 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM, which can be useful if you want to confirm a Can Tho tour or pickup arrangement in person.
Breakfast is served at the hotel, but whether it is included depends on the room package.
  • Typical price: ~$70-110/night
  • Key facilities: Outdoor pool, spa, gym, restaurants, large rooms and suites
  • Room fit: Stronger option for guests who value room space and full hotel services
  • Useful if you want: International-chain consistency and on-site tour support
  • Keep in mind: Confirm transport or pickup for activities starting at a specific Ninh Kieu pier
  • Floating-market logistics: Hotel pickup can be more important than walking distance

Ninh Kieu Riverside Hotel

Ninh Kieu Riverside Hotel on the Can Tho riverfront
Ninh Kieu Riverside Hotel on the Can Tho riverfront
Ninh Kieu Riverside Hotel is at 2 Hai Ba Trung, directly in the central riverfront zone. Its main advantage is the combination of riverfront atmosphere and city access rather than resort seclusion.
The hotel currently lists an outdoor pool, gym, sky bar, restaurant and river-cruise dining experiences.
  • Typical price: ~$45-60/night
  • Key facilities: Outdoor pool, gym, sky bar, restaurant
  • Useful if you want: Riverfront views while staying close to central sights
  • Keep in mind: Compare room condition and style with newer hotels if modern interiors are important
  • Floating-market logistics: One of the more practical riverfront bases for central departures

Cai Khe and Riverside Stays

Hotels outside the immediate Ninh Kieu core can offer more space, pools and quieter surroundings. The trade-off is straightforward: you gain river atmosphere and hotel facilities but lose some walkability.
A five- or ten-minute vehicle transfer may feel minor during the day. It matters more at 5:15 AM when you are trying to reach an early tour departure.

Tru by Hilton Can Tho Cai Khe

Tru by Hilton Can Tho Cai Khe with guest room, lounge, gym and hotel exterior
A collage of Tru by Hilton Can Tho Cai Khe showing the hotel exterior, guest room, social lounge and fitness center.
Tru by Hilton Can Tho Cai Khe is at 112 Tran Phu, Cai Khe Ward. It is a newer Hilton option with a deliberately simpler service model than a traditional full-service luxury hotel.
A major value point is free hot breakfast, along with free Wi-Fi, free parking and a fitness center. The official amenity list does not currently highlight a swimming pool.
Children under 12 can stay free when sharing existing bedding, but the property does not list confirmed connecting rooms, so larger families should check room configuration carefully.
  • Typical price: ~$28-40/night
  • Key facilities: Free hot breakfast, gym, free parking, restaurant
  • Room fit: Good for couples and small families using existing bedding
  • Useful if you want: A newer international chain without paying resort prices
  • Keep in mind: Fewer leisure facilities than pool-focused hotels
  • Floating-market logistics: Plan a short vehicle transfer or confirm hotel pickup

Victoria Can Tho Resort

Victoria Can Tho Resort pools and riverside grounds
Victoria Can Tho Resort pools and riverside grounds
Victoria Can Tho Resort is a riverside property in the Cai Khe area with gardens, two outdoor pools, gym, tennis court and a more relaxed setting than a central city hotel.
The key difference for floating-market travelers is that Victoria operates its own Cai Rang Floating Market excursions, including an early floating-market breakfast cruise. That means the resort should not be evaluated only by its road distance from Ninh Kieu Wharf.
  • Typical price: ~$70-110/night
  • Key facilities: Two pools, gardens, gym, tennis, restaurant, river excursions
  • Room fit: Couples and families who want more resort time
  • Useful if you want: A riverside resort while keeping floating-market excursions easy to arrange
  • Keep in mind: Spontaneous evening walks around central Ninh Kieu are less convenient
  • Floating-market logistics: Check the resort’s own cruise schedule before arranging a separate transfer

Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho

Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho hotel and swimming pool
Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho hotel and swimming pool
Muong Thanh Luxury Can Tho is a large riverfront hotel with an outdoor pool, spa, fitness facilities and room categories suitable for couples as well as families. Some family rooms are around 38 m² and combine a double and single bed.
It is useful when you want more facilities than a small city hotel but do not need the atmosphere or pricing of an island resort.
  • Typical price: ~$40-65/night
  • Key facilities: Outdoor pool, spa, gym, restaurant
  • Room fit: Couples, families and travelers who prefer larger hotel facilities
  • Useful if you want: River views, pool and a full-size hotel
  • Keep in mind: Some central restaurants and activities still involve a short ride

Van Phat Riverside Hotel

Van Phat Riverside Hotel pool and riverside facilities
Van Phat Riverside Hotel pool and riverside facilities
Van Phat Riverside sits in a quieter riverside setting and offers an outdoor pool, fitness center, spa, restaurants and family-room options. Current listings also allow cribs or extra beds on some room types, which can make it more practical for families than a compact city hotel.
  • Typical price: ~$40-65/night
  • Key facilities: Outdoor pool, gym, spa, restaurants
  • Room fit: Couples and families; check crib/extra-bed availability for your room type
  • Useful if you want: A quieter riverside environment at a moderate price
  • Keep in mind: Walking to central dining is less practical than from Ninh Kieu
  • Floating-market logistics: Arrange a ride or confirm pickup rather than relying on a last-minute transfer

Riverside 1 Hotel

Riverside 1 Hotel Can Tho rooms and breakfast area
Riverside 1 Hotel Can Tho rooms and breakfast area
Riverside 1 is a lower-cost urban option rather than a destination resort. Current listings show family rooms, restaurant service and breakfast options, with many rates including breakfast.
The hotel is farther from Ninh Kieu Pier than the central riverfront properties, so the name “Riverside” should not be read as “beside Ninh Kieu Wharf.”
  • Typical price: ~$15-30/night
  • Key facilities: Restaurant, breakfast options, family rooms
  • Useful if you want: A lower-cost room and do not need resort facilities
  • Keep in mind: Transport is more relevant for central sightseeing and early departures

Cai Rang and Con Au: Resort Time Over City Walkability

Cai Rang is associated with the floating market, but that does not mean every hotel in Cai Rang is automatically the easiest option for visiting the market.
The key question is still:
Where does your boat or tour actually begin?

Legacy Mekong, Can Tho, Autograph Collection

Legacy Mekong resort on Con Au Islet
Legacy Mekong resort on Con Au Islet
Legacy Mekong, formerly Azerai Can Tho, is on Con Au Islet in the Hau River. Access by boat is part of the experience rather than a minor transport detail.
The property offers rooms, bungalows and private-pool villas, including three-, four- and five-bedroom villa options that can work well for larger families or groups. It also has an outdoor pool and children’s pool. Breakfast is available but should not be assumed to be included in every rate.
  • Typical price: ~$120-180/night
  • Key facilities: Outdoor pool, children’s pool, spa, villas, river setting
  • Room fit: Couples, families and groups; multi-bedroom villas available
  • Useful if you want: The accommodation itself to be a major part of the trip
  • Keep in mind: Every city outing requires boat-transfer planning
  • Floating-market logistics: Coordinate the excursion with the resort or tour operator before arrival

Con Khuong Resort

Con Khuong Resort Can Tho pool and garden setting
Con Khuong Resort Can Tho pool and garden setting
Con Khuong Resort offers a greener, resort-oriented environment away from the densest central streets. Room categories range from standard river-view rooms to pool-view rooms and bungalows, making it more suitable for travelers who plan to spend time at the property rather than use it only as a place to sleep.
  • Typical price: ~$55-100/night
  • Key facilities: Pool, garden/river setting, bungalow options
  • Room fit: Couples and small families; triple rooms and bungalows available
  • Useful if you want: A pool, greenery and a slower stay
  • Keep in mind: Less practical for a one-night city-focused itinerary

Countryside and Ecolodge

Can Tho Ecolodge

Can Tho Ecolodge cottages along the Ba Lang River
Can Tho Ecolodge cottages along the Ba Lang River
Can Tho Ecolodge is a countryside-style property on 2.7 hectares along the Ba Lang River, with 12 cottages and 48 rooms. It offers a swimming pool, spa, restaurant and garden setting, with cycling and river-based activities available around the property.
Room space is a particular advantage. Junior Deluxe rooms are around 38 m², Deluxe rooms around 56 m², while connecting family rooms provide about 116 m² and can accommodate four guests across separate connected rooms.
  • Typical price: ~$80-100+ /night
  • Key facilities: Pool, spa, restaurant, cottages, bicycles/activities
  • Room fit: Particularly useful for families; connecting family rooms available
  • Useful if you want: Countryside atmosphere without giving up hotel facilities
  • Keep in mind: Transport is needed to reach central Can Tho
  • Floating-market logistics: Arrange transport or an activity directly with the property in advance

Choosing a Hotel for an Early Cai Rang Floating Market Trip

This is one of the most important accommodation decisions in Can Tho.
The floating market is in Cai Rang, but many visitor boat trips begin from central Can Tho rather than from a hotel beside the market. Mekong Smile’s Can Tho floating-market tours use hotel pickup in central Can Tho before guests board the boat.
So instead of asking:
“Which hotel is closest to Cai Rang Floating Market?”
ask:
“How will I get from my hotel to my specific boat or tour at 5:30-6:00 AM?”

Morning-tour planning by stay type

Where you stay What usually matters
Near Ninh Kieu Wharf Meeting points may be walkable
Wider Ninh Kieu Check whether hotel pickup is included or arrange a short transfer
Cai Khe / riverside Taxi/Grab, hotel pickup or a resort-operated boat may apply
Legacy Mekong / island resort Boat-transfer coordination is essential
Countryside / ecolodge Arrange transport or a property-organized excursion in advance

Check these four things before booking

  1. Exact meeting point. Do not rely only on “Ninh Kieu” or “Cai Rang” as area names. Ask for the actual pier, hotel pickup zone or map point.
  2. Pickup policy. Some tours collect guests from central Can Tho hotels. Outer resorts and countryside properties may need a separate arrangement or surcharge.
  3. Breakfast timing. A normal hotel breakfast may begin at or after 6:00 AM. If you are leaving earlier, ask whether the hotel offers a packed breakfast, early coffee or a floating-market excursion that includes breakfast.
  4. Luggage storage. If you check out on the same morning, ask whether luggage can remain at reception until you return.

How Much Does a Can Tho Hotel Cost?

For trip planning, Can Tho accommodation roughly spans these segments:
Planning budget What you are usually comparing
Under ~$30/night Basic city hotels and budget rooms
~$30-60/night Mid-range city hotels and newer value-focused chains
~$60-110/night Full-service hotels and established riverside resorts
~$120+/night High-end destination resorts and premium villas
These are planning bands, not fixed market prices.
Rates can change because of:
  • room category;
  • weekday vs weekend;
  • refundable vs non-refundable conditions;
  • breakfast inclusion;
  • taxes and service charges;
  • Tet, public holidays and event dates;
  • direct-booking promotions;
  • OTA discounts;
  • how early you book.
Use the hotel table to narrow your shortlist, then compare the current total price for the same dates, same number of guests and similar cancellation terms.

Travelling with Children or as a Group?

Hotel selection changes once you need more than a standard room for two.

Families with young children

Look beyond the hotel’s star rating and check:
  • maximum room occupancy;
  • whether existing bedding can be shared;
  • cot or extra-bed availability;
  • connecting-room availability;
  • breakfast charges for children;
  • whether the pool has a children’s section;
  • how easy the 5:30-6:00 AM departure will be with children.
Tru by Hilton allows children under 12 to stay free when sharing existing bedding, although it does not list confirmed connecting rooms.
Can Tho Ecolodge is particularly practical for families because its connecting family configuration provides separate connected rooms and space for four guests.

Families or groups wanting more space

Wink has larger Deluxe and suite categories beyond its 20 m² standard rooms.
Sheraton offers larger rooms and suites for travelers who value more space and full hotel services.
Legacy Mekong has three-, four- and five-bedroom villa options, making it one of the more practical high-end options for a group that wants to stay together.
Van Phat Riverside lists family rooms, cribs and extra-bed options on selected room types.
Always check the exact room configuration rather than assuming “family-friendly” means four adults can stay in one standard room.

How to Choose Based on Your Trip

  • If you have only one night: Stay central unless the resort itself is the reason for the trip. Extra transfers matter more when the stay is this short.
  • If you have two or three nights: You can remain in Ninh Kieu for convenience, or choose a riverside/countryside property if one part of the trip is meant to be slower. Moving hotels is not automatically better; a split stay only makes sense when the second property gives you a genuinely different experience.
  • If food and evenings matter: Central Ninh Kieu is easier because you can combine restaurants, cafes, the riverfront and evening activity without planning every transfer. See our Can Tho Restaurants and Can Tho Night Market guides.
  • If quiet and resort time matter: Victoria, Legacy Mekong, Con Khuong and Can Tho Ecolodge become more relevant. The trade-off is less spontaneous access to central Can Tho.

Hotel, Resort or Ecolodge?

Type Useful for Keep in mind
City hotel Short stays, restaurants, morning departures More urban noise and less green space
Riverside resort Pools, gardens, slower afternoons More transport planning
Island resort Privacy, villas, destination-style stay Boat transfer affects city outings
Ecolodge / countryside stay Cottages, cycling, canals, family space Farther from the central riverfront
There is no universally better option. The best fit depends on what you plan to do before breakfast, after dinner and during your free afternoon.

Practical Booking Tips

  • Check the exact address. Ward names alone are not enough to judge walkability.
  • Check your tour meeting point before choosing a hotel if the floating market is a priority.
  • Compare room type, not only hotel name. River-view, city-view, standard and suite categories can create very different experiences.
  • Check whether breakfast is actually included in your rate.
  • Ask about early breakfast if your tour departs before normal buffet hours.
  • For families, check occupancy before price. A cheaper room can become more expensive after extra-bed or second-room charges.
  • Use recent guest photos to check room condition, particularly at older properties.
  • Check cancellation terms before paying, especially for heavily discounted rates.
  • Book earlier around fixed weekend, holiday or Tet dates, when room choice can narrow.
  • Do not assume the rainy season always means lower prices. Promotions, weekends and events can override seasonal patterns.

Plan Your Can Tho Stay

If an early floating-market trip is part of your itinerary, confirm the hotel and pickup arrangement together rather than treating them as two separate bookings.
Mekong Smile operates Can Tho tours with pickup from hotels in the central Can Tho area. Pickup coverage can vary by tour and property, so confirm your hotel before finalizing transport.

Frequently Asked Questions About Can Tho Hotels (FAQ)

Where is the most practical area to stay in Can Tho for a first visit?

Central Ninh Kieu is usually the easiest starting point for a short first visit because the riverfront, restaurants, evening activities and several tour meeting points are concentrated in the area. Check the exact hotel address because not every Ninh Kieu hotel is directly beside Ninh Kieu Wharf.

Should I stay near Ninh Kieu Wharf or Cai Rang Floating Market?

Choose based on the departure point of your tour, not simply the physical location of the market. Many visitor boat trips start from central Can Tho or include central hotel pickup. A hotel closer to Cai Rang Floating Market may still require a separate transfer.

How much does a hotel in Can Tho cost?

Budget rooms can be found around or below $30 per night, while many mid-range city hotels fall around $30-60. Full-service and riverside hotels often sit higher, while destination resorts such as Legacy Mekong can exceed $120 per night. Prices vary by date, room type, taxes and booking conditions.

Which Can Tho hotels are practical for families?

Can Tho Ecolodge has connecting family rooms, Wink offers larger suites beyond its compact standard rooms, Sheraton has larger full-service room categories, Van Phat Riverside lists family-room and extra-bed options, and Legacy Mekong offers multi-bedroom villas for higher budgets. Always confirm maximum occupancy for the exact room you plan to book.

Which Can Tho hotels have swimming pools?

Several options in this guide currently list pools, including Charmant Suites, Wink, Sheraton, Ninh Kieu Riverside, Victoria, Muong Thanh, Van Phat Riverside, Legacy Mekong, Con Khuong Resort and Can Tho Ecolodge. Pool availability or operating hours can change, so reconfirm if it is an important reason for choosing the hotel.

How many nights should I stay in Can Tho?

Two nights gives most travelers more flexibility than a one-night stop: one early morning for the floating market and enough time for the city, food or nearby countryside. Three nights makes more sense if you want resort time, cycling, orchards or canal activities.

Can my Can Tho hotel arrange a floating-market trip?

Some hotels and resorts arrange their own excursions, while independent tour operators may provide hotel pickup within defined central zones. Ask for the exact departure method, pickup time and any transfer surcharge before booking.
