Your Can Tho Food Tour begins at Ninh Kieu Quay, Can Tho's vibrant riverside promenade. Meet your local guide as twilight transforms the city with twinkling lights and aromatic street food. Navigate bustling night markets where family recipes have been perfected for generations.
Bò Nướng Lá Lốt (Grilled Beef in Wild Betel Leaf)
Taste Grilled Beef in Wild Betel Leaf and watch skilled cooks wrap marinated beef in fragrant wild betel leaves and grill over charcoal. Master the "wrap and roll" technique by combining rice vermicelli, fresh herbs, and grilled beef in rice paper, then dip into homemade sauces. The smoky meat and peppery leaves create an unforgettable taste of Mekong cuisine.
Nem Nướng (Grilled Pork Skewers)
Visit a beloved local spot for handcrafted grilled pork skewers. Watch artisans knead seasoned ground pork and grill it over open flames. Wrap the succulent pork in rice paper with crisp lettuce and herbs, completing with sweet-tangy dipping sauce for bold, contrasting flavors.
Bánh Cống (Crispy Shrimp Cakes)
Discover this Khmer-influenced specialty, Crispy Shrimp Cakes—golden cakes made from rice flour, mung beans, and fresh prawns, fried to crispy perfection. Served with vibrant local herbs and sweet-sour fish sauce, each bite combines river shrimp sweetness with fresh greens for an authentic delta experience.
