Itinerary
Hotel Pickup in Can Tho
Your guide picks you up from your hotel in central Can Tho in the early morning before heading toward Cai Rang Floating Market.
The trip uses a combination of A/C transport and a traditional wooden boat.
Cai Rang Floating Market
Arrive at Cai Rang and spend time exploring the market from the water.
The guide introduces the history of the market, local trading customs and everyday life along the river. While moving between the boats, you can see how fruit, vegetables and other goods are traded directly on the water.
Breakfast is served during this part of the trip. The program also includes fresh pineapple when available from the pineapple boats at the market.
One detail worth watching for is the cay beo, the tall bamboo poles used by traders to show what their boats are selling. Instead of displaying a shop sign, vendors hang examples of their produce high above the boat where buyers can see them from a distance.

Morning trading at Cai Rang Floating Market
A note about the market: Cai Rang is still a working market, so the number of trading boats is not the same every morning. Activity can change with the season, local trading and the day you visit. It is better to come for the river atmosphere and to understand how the market works than to expect the exact scene seen in older photographs.
Traditional Rice Noodle Workshop
Continue to a traditional hủ tiếu workshop in Can Tho and see how local rice noodles are made.
During the visit, you can observe parts of the traditional process, from preparing and steaming the rice sheets to drying them before they are cut into noodles.
You can also try the workshop’s crispy homemade rice noodle pizza, which is included in the CT01D program.

Mr. Muoi's Cacao Farm
Continue to a local cacao farm and learn about Mr. Muoi's story and how cacao is turned into local chocolate products.
The visit includes a taste of cacao drink and pure chocolate.
The program does not promise cacao harvesting or fresh cacao fruit on every visit, so these should not be treated as fixed activities.

A quiet rest stop in the garden
Cacao processing equipment
Local cacao products
Tropical Fruit Garden
Visit a local fruit garden and taste fruit that is available during the season.
Depending on the time of year, this may include mango, plum, dragon fruit and other tropical varieties grown in the area.
Because fruit is seasonal, the selection changes throughout the year.

Small Canal Cruise
The final part of the trip takes you through a smaller canal before heading back toward Can Tho.
This section is quieter than the main river around Cai Rang, with more greenery and homes along the waterways. It is a relaxed finish after the busier morning market and the stops on land.

Return to Can Tho
Return to Can Tho after approximately 5-6 hours.
Timing may change slightly depending on weather, tide levels and operating conditions.

Additional Info
What to Expect at Cai Rang Floating Market
Cai Rang is not a market created for visitors. Trading activity changes naturally, and some mornings have more boats than others.
You will still see the river-based way of doing business that makes Cai Rang different from a normal market: goods carried by boat, meals prepared on the water and traders moving between larger and smaller vessels.
Starting early also gives you a better chance of seeing the market while commercial activity is still taking place.
For travelers who only want a short boat ride to Cai Rang and back, there are simpler options available. This tour is longer because it continues beyond the market to the noodle workshop, cacao farm, fruit garden and smaller canals.
Before You Go
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are easy to move in when getting on and off the boat.
A hat, sunscreen and a small amount of cash for personal purchases are useful to bring.
The tour involves relatively little walking, but guests still need to board a traditional wooden boat. Anyone with mobility concerns should check with the tour team before booking.
Fruit selection depends on the season, and the order of stops may change with weather, tide levels or local operating conditions.
Child regulations
One young child may join free of charge under the tour’s child policy. Parents are responsible for any additional expenses for the child.
Two adults can accompany one free child. A second child is charged at the child rate.
Cancellation policy
Due to weather conditions, a full refund.
Due to personal reasons from customers, no refund.
The following charges will be levied on any cancellation if you cancel your trip at any time, provided you notify the company in writing:

Very friendly and professional guide. Always positive and helpful. Good tour as well. The morning view of mekong is wonderful.
Thanks to An we made a nice trip through the canals of the mekong and visited the floating market. She introduced us to the locals and on the way we got some drinks and food. All in all a successful trip
Our guide Thuy was great! She was kind and knowledgeable. She explained all the interesting things about the market and Can Tho. We had a private boat that was much nicer than the others that were leaving with the different tours at the same time. We were taken on a very relaxing ride to the market and were offered to stop and buy what we wanted to eat and drink. Boat captain was amazing, moving the boat where we could have a nice view of the sunrise and take great pictures. We had THE MOST DELICIOUS vegetarian pho for breakfast and visited the local rice noodle makers. So good we can’t wait to have it again tomorrow!!!
Yesterday we went on a guided tour to the floating market in Kang Tu. We were guided by a guide named Zhan. She picked us up from the hotel and brought us back to the hotel 5 hours later. The tour was private in a small boat and we got a real sense of how the locals live alongside and inside the Mongo.
A very interesting tour with our wonderful local guide Clara, who taught us a lot about and showed us the culture and lifestyle habits in the Mekong Delta. Highlight was the visit to a friend’s houseboat, where we were very hospitable. A visit to the local noodle factory was also worthwhile. Highly recommended!
This tour was far better than I expected and offered incredible value for money. Jane was friendly, kind, informative and funny. She was extremely generous with her time and knowledge and went beyond the realms of the itinerary tour to offer advice on other things to do or how to get the best experience in Can Tho. We even felt confident enough to cross roads on our own after spending the morning with her. I cannot recommend this tour enough and if you are fortunate enough to get Jane as your tour guide then you are going to have a richer experience than the small amount of money you paid for it. Loved it.
