Traveler Stories
We had a fantastic Mekong Delta tour today with our guide An from Mekong Smile Company. Early in the morning we were picked up at our hotel and taken by boat to the floating market. An not only explained the culture but also organized Vietnamese coffee, snacks, and drinks for us directly from the local boats. We even had the chance to board a trader’s boat and see how people live there.
Afterwards, we visited a cacao farm and a fruit farm where we could try plenty of delicious things. An was always ready to answer all our questions and shared so many interesting insights about the Mekong Delta, the people, and the culture. She also made sure that vegetarians were well taken care of, which we really appreciated.
What made the experience even more special was that An took photos of us as a memory, and the stops never felt like “tourist traps” – nobody pushed us to buy anything. We felt welcome and comfortable the whole time and could really immerse ourselves in the local life.

We had an fantastic experience on our Cai Rang Floating Market tour! From start to finish, it was a truly memorable morning. Our guide, Kylie, was awesome. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic, making the entire tour engaging and informative. She did a phenomenal job explaining everything and really brought the floating market to life for us. Beyond the bustling market, we also got to visit a fascinating rice noodle factory, where we saw the traditional process firsthand. Learning about the production of the regional coconut candy was another highlight. The tour also included a delicious breakfast that set us up perfectly for the day. Overall, we highly recommend this tour. It's a must-do experience in the Mekong Delta!
I joined the Mekong Delta Fruit Garden & Cycling Tour, and it was an excellent experience.
Our guide, Cris, was very fluent in English and handled an unexpected heavy shower with great flexibility by arranging a short stop at a nearby local house.
He gave clear explanations, was extremely kind, and made the whole tour very enjoyable. Meeting such a wonderful guide was truly a stroke of luck.
Since my colleagues also often travel to this area for business, I will definitely recommend Cris and hope to join his tour again in the future.

Een hele interessante tour met onze geweldige lokale gids Clara, die ons veel heeft geleerd over en laten zien van de cultuur en leefgewoonten in de Mekong delta. Hoogtepunt was het bezoek aan de woonboot van een vriendin, waar we zeer gastvrij werden ontvangen. Ook een bezoek aan de lokale noedelfabriek was de moeite waard. Een aanrader!
